The above chart shows the three public schools in the Thornhill Woods area and each one's ranking between 2005 and 2009. There is a common perception that Thornhill Woods Public School is by far the best school in this area but a closer examination of the above chart shows that it is only slightly better than either Carville Mills or Bakersfield.

 The most recent rankings in 2009 actually have Thornhill Woods Public School with a score of 8.3/10 which is the exact same score given to Carville Mills Public School. Bakersfield is not far behind at 7.5/10.  If you look at which school has improved the most since 2008, Bakersfield jumped from a 6.2/10 to a 7.5/10. In comparison, Thornhill Woods Public School dropped from 8.5/10 to 8.3/10 and Carville Mills slightly increased from 8.0/10 to 8.3/10

The average rankings of all the public schools in Ontario over the last four years is around 6.0/10
